Our Story
The story starts with Irma Zoepf, an industrial engineer turned DE&I coach to tech executives and social impact organizations joined forces with Silvana Gaia, a software engineer and strong woman in tech advocating to empower and support women in Silicon Valley in their pursuit of professional development and career growth. They started with a small circle, Latinas in San Mateo County, back in January 2018.
Over the years, the circle has been growing and we are currently over 100 participants. As we grew and met other women, not only Latinas, we started the Women in Silicon Valley Network to share what we started with this circle and reach more women in the Bay Area that, like us, would like to find support, empowerment, advice and expand their network with other brave women. We have seen the power of having a support group, it helps us to be more self-confident, learn from others in similar situations, to be clearer in our goals and follow them
